  3. Hello and Gospel Reading.

    1. Luke 10:1-10

    2. After this the Lord appointed seventy-two[a] others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. 2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. 4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.

    3. 5 “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ 6 If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. 7 Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.

    4. 8 “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you.9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’

    5. 16 “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.”

    6. 17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

    7. 18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

  6. Psalm Reading

    1. Psalm 66:1-9

1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth!

2     Sing the glory of his name;

   make his praise glorious.

3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!

   So great is your power

   that your enemies cringe before you.

4 All the earth bows down to you;

   they sing praise to you,

   they sing the praises of your name.”[a]

5 Come and see what God has done,

   his awesome deeds for mankind!

6 He turned the sea into dry land,

   they passed through the waters on foot—

   come, let us rejoice in him.

7 He rules forever by his power,

   his eyes watch the nations—

   let not the rebellious rise up against him.

8 Praise our God, all peoples,

   let the sound of his praise be heard;

9 he has preserved our lives

   and kept our feet from slipping.

  1. Confession

    1. Video

    3. Take a moment to confess all your sins especially when we run from big love

    4. ---------

    5. Most merciful God, we confess that we are by nature sinful and unclean. We have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not love you with our whole heart: we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We justly deserve Your present and eternal punishment. For the sake of your son, Jesus Christ, have mercy on us. Forgive us, renew us and lead us, so that we may delight in your will and walk in your ways to the glory of your holy name.  Amen

    6. Since we have confessed our sins, God has declared us free and forgiven of all our sins.

    7. Have Grace and Peace.

  2. Children’s Dismissal

  3. Galatians Reading

    1. Galatians 6:1-17

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3 If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. 4 Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, 5 for each one should carry their own load. 6 Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

11 See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

12 Those who want to impress people by means of the flesh are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. 13 Not even those who are circumcised keep the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your circumcision in the flesh. 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which[a] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is the new creation.16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to[b] the Israel of God.

17 From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.

  3. Prayers of the Church

Let us pray for the whole Church of God in Christ Jesus and for all people according to their needs.

Lord God, as Your Kingdom comes near to us in the mighty works of Your Son, graciously grant us to hear Him through those He sends to us, that we might rejoice that He has written our names in heaven.

Lord God, keep us in Your Son’s humble way, that we may not think we are something when we are nothing; help us to sow to the Spirit freely, that we might know the joy of walking in Your Son’s giving and forgiving way.

Lord God, You order the nations under heaven according to Your will; we praise You for Your patience with our nation and the mercy You have shown her in the past. Bless her in this coming year with Good leaders, and guide us into Your just and wise ways.

Lord God, all who journey on earth, sea and air do so under Your watchful eye; keep all those who travel in Your almighty care, that their journeys may be safe and their homecomings joyful.

Lord God, be near to all who suffer in body, mind or spirit in our midst [especially Your servants _____________]. Grant them health and healing according to Your perfect will; help us not to grow weary of doing good to everyone, especially our brothers and sisters in the household of faith.

Lord God, You have promised that we shall be comforted in Jerusalem, where our hearts shall rejoice and our bones shall flourish like the grass. Sustain us as You sustained the saints before us, that we may safely journey through the trials of this present age into the joys that await us with You.

Almighty God, You have built Your Church on the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. Continue to send Your messengers to preserve Your People in True peace that, by the preaching of your word, Your church may be kept free from all harm and danger; through Jesus Christ Your son our lord, who lives and reigns with you and the holy spirit, one God Now and forever.
